Hi, my name is Jennifer Rains, and I am the owner and founder of Rains Tutoring Services (RTS), a private tutoring business based in Maryland and D.C. Since 2019, I’ve been helping children reach their academic potential with affordable, personalized lessons.

I am a lower Elementary school teacher in Arlington Public Schools. I hold a Virginia teaching license and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (K-6th) from the University of Virginia, where I graduated with the highest honors. I am currently working towards my Master's in Reading Education. This is my seventh summer tutoring, and I have worked in a variety of educational settings with children ages 4-9 over the past 8 years. I have a wealth of expertise and a passion for making teaching fun and engaging for children.​

Rains Tutoring Services specializes in working with children ages four to eleven. I offer private, one-on-one sessions in clients' homes, tailoring lessons to each child’s unique needs. My areas of expertise include reading instruction, math, writing, and spelling, and I use proven strategies to build confidence and academic success. ​​
